Party time

A friend came over tonight for dinner and the plan was to craft a little but we accomplished nothing, so I made this card really quick after she left. I used my Simon Says July Card Kit and was inspired by this week’s sketch at Retro Sketches. Things just go so quickly when I am not making a mess with my stamps!

I worked at home today because I woke up to some absolutely crazy storms that ended up lasting all day (I am somewhat scared to get on the highway when it’s pouring rain like that) - we are okay, but some streets are reported to be under 3 feet of water tonight! The last time it rained like this, I remember seeing some people canoeing down the street…

    Oh, my goodness, Suzanne, I hope that’s it for the rain and I’m glad you didn’t have to drive in it! Your card is just the opposite of the weather chaos … it is sweet and serene and a winning take on the Retrosketch!!

    Fabulous card Suzanne…just too cute. I am the same way, ugly weather I will not drive. Hope Mother Nature has calmed down a bit for you too.

    I don’t drive in storms anymore…
    not since hitting a concrete barrier and taking a chunk with me in one…
    left my mark in Nashville right at the Charlotte Pk exit ramp ;) …
    so don’t blame you at all! :)

    Great card Suzanne. Love the color combination you’ve used here. Totally sweet. Had to drive home in MKE rush hour traffic once in a blizzard. What normally took 45 minutes took 3 hours. I hate driving in crummy weather too! Will send you some of our gorgeous mid-70s/sunshine weather! ; )
