I started today’s card using the Floral Mix Layering paper for my card base, and I heat embossed the Dot Moire Bold Prints background image using white satin pearl embossing powder. This stuff has an amazing shimmery sheen to it - love it! Next, I used the Paper Layering Tree die to create the gorgeous Christmas tree; I used the die once on the front, and then flipped the card stock over to die cut the other half of the tree from the back - it is so beautiful. I think you need it, or one of the other new paper layering dies. :)
I added lots of embellishments as well - I trimmed the front edge of the card off and added the silver glitter trim, as well as a strip of Pool Mixed Layering Paper, which was stamped with the Candy Stripes Bold Prints stamp in Tide Pool ink. While I was at it, I stamped another strip using the stars image from Kelly’s Fa La La La La stamp set for the front of the card, under the tree.
The “To You and Yours” banner is a sentiment from Happy Merry Messages by Lia - it was stamped onto white card stock with Tide Pool ink, and trimmed by hand. I added some clear gemstones to the tree as well. (I’ve always said that the Hero Arts bling is the best, you really need to try these if you haven’t yet!)
I added the twine bow after I curled the ends by wrapping them onto a pencil and glue-setting them into the curl and called this one finished: my first holiday card of the season!

I really love the ends of the twine bow. i’m going to try matte multi medium from ranger. I would love to know which glue you did it with. I tried that with tombow multi and it remained sticky even after it dried. i’ll experiment. thanks for the lovely card and all the wonderful ideas.
