This month’s Hero Arts challenge theme is Holiday Cardmaking, so my card today was inspired by that! I started off by stamping images from Kelly’s S’no Problem stamp set onto snow layering paper with black ink.

Next, I die cut the jar shape from the card front, and then cut the house and some trees from vellum - this was done using the Winter Scene frame cuts. I then used Mint Julep and Soft Pool inks to create the background by sponging them onto a separate layer of white paper. Some

I added some glitter to the inside of the jar to form the “ground” for the trees and house, too. The last step, before adding all the bling, was heat embossing the sentiment onto black layering paper with white embossing powder.

I love the bold and graphic look of this card, and I am tempted to try it again with some spritz instead of bling, or maybe some watercolors! I hope you will play along in this month’s challenge - I’m excited to see what you all create, so be sure to check it out on the Hero Arts blog!
