How does my card fit each of these challenges? Lemme explain…

The center of the tag was printed at home from the free digital download available in Nichole’s post today, and I used the colors posted on Stacey’s blog for the Curtain Call challenge:

And lastly, the lovely Laurie challenged us to use felt on a project for the Dolls challenge. I can’t believe I did it all! My very first Triple Play! The crafty world is very busy these days, so be sure to visit each of these blogs to join in on the fun.

Here’s my card:

Here are some of the details…I added glitter to the rainbow after using a water-filled brush pen to color the rainbow with Raspberry Fizz ink. Notice how I tried to make the center pink stripe a little lighter in color. Then I used another brush pen to color the dots on the clouds with New Leaf ink. The backgrounds are embossed using the picnic plaid and linen impression plates, and the scalloped circle is cut from felt to add more dimension to my project. I really love how this looks because the colors are so pretty together.

Merry Christmas, everyone! A quick post tonight for the Curtain Call Color Challenge #61, which was to make a card using the following colors:

I have to admit that I decided to play along in this challenge about one hour before we had to leave for Christmas Eve dinner…so I opted to go totally out of my comfort zone and make a completely clean and simple card (using many different stamp sets, of course)!

I started with a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped the ornament top from Holiday Button Bits in Crumb Cake ink. I followed this by inking one line along the dotted lines image from Background Basics: Retro to connect the ornament to the top of the card, so that it looks like it’s hanging from something. Next I cut a circle from a piece of Finishing Touch paper from Fancy Pants designs to form the scarlet-colored ornament ball, and topped it off with the small snowflake image from Peace Be Still stamped in Dark Chocolate ink. I added the Jolee’s jewels in two different sizes to the stamped image (cuz they are just the absolute SPARKLIEST) and completed the card with the sentiment from Holiday Button Bits and by rounding the corners.

I think I covered all the bases of the challenge! Whaddaya think? I think it’s funny that this card still took me close to an hour, but it gets my entry in just under the wire!
