Julie’s Birthday Bash

Today’s a very special day and I am very blessed to be a part of this celebration in honor of Julie’s birthday! Julie, you are so very sweet. It’s rare to “meet” such fabulous people online and know that one day it would be so awesome to meet in person - that is just how great I think you are. I have loved our email conversations - they always bring a smile to my face - and I look forward to many more. I hope this day and the whole year ahead are full of the best memories and happy times for you! xo

For my card, I wanted to achieve a watercolor look without the mess, so I did this using Faber-Castell gelatos on the flowers and PITT Artist brush pens for the leaves - these were used to color the stamps and then I spritzed them with water before stamping the images. I used dye ink to stamp the outlines on the flowers, then added the dots in the center of each flower along with some Wink of Stella glitter pen fun. All of the images come from The Big, the Bold and Extras stamp set.

Your next stop on this hop is Vanessa Menhorn’s blog! A full list of all the party hoppers is listed below for you. Have a fun day~ xoxo

Sweet Suzanne! This card is simply beautiful! I want to play with a watercolor effect with these stamps too, but just haven’t gotten around to it. I simply must! I love how this turned out. I was reading your sweet note in your post, and it’s funny because that is exactly the way I feel about you too. And, maybe one day we will meet in person. Thanks so much for the birthday wishes :) *hugs*
