12 Kits of Occasions: April

_DSC0114

I was so excited when Tracey invited me to join the 12 Kits of Occasions for the month of April - it has been a long time since I was in this group, and I was really excited to receive Tracey’s beautiful kit in the mail. It was chock full of PINK!

I was able to make 3 cards for today, but there is SO much left over I could probably make a half a dozen extra cards. Though Teddy did chew up some of your flower die cuts, Tracey! At least he had some fun with the kit too…

I love this flower image - I ended up coloring it with a Wink of Stella and it’s super shimmery in real life:

For my last card, I tried my hand at that slangy-card thing one more time, tucking the sentiment in the corner too:

_DSC0126I was glad to try out some feathers - they’re not something I have on hand here and these die cuts are perfectly delicate. In hindsight, I wish there were MORE pink on this card. :)

For all the details about the kit, you can head on over to the 12 Kits blog for more information and for more inspiration from the team members!

Thank you so much, Tracey! You’re the sweetest!

Three beautiful cards, Suzanne. Love them all, especially the way you did the sentiments on the 2nd and 3rd cards. It is so great to have you here with us this month. I have missed you. I hope you are staying warm (and out of trouble).

So happy to have you joining us today! Your cards are beautiful! I love the doily and scallop border extending past the edge of the card and those clean lines on the sentiment strips. The feathers look so perfect against the dot paper too!

I love how you cut the sentiment on the second card into different strips…that is such a neat idea and better than just a rectangle! And the border off the side gives it a lot of interest, too :) I also like how the doily hangs off the card in the first one, and of course who doesn’t like feathers for the 3rd? It was great to have you back again :)

Suzanne, I’m a long time admirer of your work and what a treat to see how you used Tracey’s kit. Your cards are nothing short of amazing, and I’m thrilled I have bits and pieces left of my kit, so I can CASE some of your beautiful designs.
