I made a card real quick for this month’s Walzingmouse Blog Party. Our theme was a color challenge…head on over to the Waltzingmouse Blog to check it out!
I used some of Claire’s most gorgeous Halloween images to create this fun card. The patterened paper and corner stickers are from SEI, and the bling is from Doodlebug designs. The splatter image is from Recollections.
Sorry if I seem rushed but this blog party ends today and I have to get ready for my card class with Shari Carroll at my local stamp shop!! I am so excited!
Have a fun day,
Look at me playing along with Waltzingmouse! Finally….YAY! I’ve been meaning to order some of their stamps for quite some time, and last night I had an idea for this week’s sketch using the Compact Family stamps…
I used A Muse Studio inks along with some washi tape, a MFT border die, Mr. Huey’s spritz, navy blue twine (from RibbonCarousel.com), and other random goodies that have been sitting in one of my crafty drawers. The arrows and the stars are stamps from two different PTI sets, but I thought they added nicely to the mix on the center panel.
I hope you like this - this was a bit of an adventure from the norm for me, but super fun nonetheless!
Today I am playing along in the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge using a WMS image from their 2011 Holiday Ornaments stamp set.
I diecut the tree from some Crate Paper holiday paper using an A Muse Studio die, and then I layered the tree over a piece of vellum that was embossed with Papertrey’s polka dot impression plate and then attached it all to a piece of Sugar shimmer cardstock from A Muse Studio.
I wrapped some red baker’s twine at the top and then stamped and embossed the sentiment at the bottom. Lastly, added some Swarovski rhinestones for maximum *bling* effect!
I might be making more of these - it was so easy! Thanks for stopping by my blog - I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hi everyone! I plopped my Christmas cards into the mail today and rushed upstairs to catch up on some long overdue birthday cards for some friends. This card is a tiny one, measuring 4 inches square. I made this for this week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, which was to make a card like this:
And here is what I came up with….there was lots of inspiration provided on the WMSC blog! This is my first time playing along. I just discovered this stamp company and so far I love everything I see from them!
Making small cards is actually really fun! I ran the Vintage Cream cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the PTI Linen impression plate and inked all around the edges with chamomile ink. The flower was stamped in blue bayou and hand cut, only to be stuck onto the card flap after putting the rhinestone swirls down. And I love those shimmery letters in the center! They are so so cute! The front flap lifts up and then the next layer folds down to reveal the happy birthday messgae inside.
Easy as pie! Speaking of which, the water for my hot cocoa is boiling so I gotta run! Thank you for stopping by! Happy Holidays!!
