Hey there, friends! I am guest designing for Sweet Stamp Shop this month and Nicole Rixon has designed some really fun sets for her May release!

My first card uses the new set called Weird Love - LOVE this sentiment!!I stamped it onto a diecut rectangle and added layers of patterned paper and matching stickers from SEI:

Neat and Tangled Stamps: May Release Day 2

By Suzanne

_DSC0003

It’s Day 2 of the May release from Neat and Tangled Stamps, and today we are featuring cards made with the new Sunburst stamp.

I heat embossed the sunburst with clear embossing powder over the heart patterned paper from SEI. Next, I inked up the image with a variety of yellow and orange Distress Inks a la the emboss-resist technique. The last step was to use my iron to remove the shine of the clear embossing.

I then trimmed the image and mounted it on the matching orange cardstock from A Muse Studio, later adding the coordinating sentiment sticker from SEI and some Basic Grey enamel dots. SO FUN!

To see more design team projects using the Sunburst stamp, head on over to the Neat and Tangled blog, where there’s also a chance to win a prize! All of the sets from this release will be available for purchase tomorrow, but we’re also super excited to announce that they can also be found at i {heart} papers, Simon Says Stamp, and Absolutely Everything!

Have a great day! Thank you so much for stopping by!

And another weekend comes to an end. I have no idea where the time went, but I was happy to sneak away to make this card for Dawn’s Monday Mood Board:

I used Le Cirque and the coordinating dies to make this card, along with some SEI patterned paper.
I’m also entering this in this week’s Bit O’ Green challenge on the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog.

Hooray for my 400th post! :)

Tonight I made this card for Lucy’s Sketch Challenge and A Blog Name Hero’s Challenge, which was to create a card in the shabby-chic or vintage style.

_DSC0017

I used Hero Arts‘ True Friendship and Tiny Ink Spots, which was inked up in grey and yellow on the background. I added lots of flowers and pearls, and stitched the bottom right corner to make this a little more shabby. :)

Thanks very much for stopping by!

Waltzingmouse Blog Party

By Suzanne

I made a card real quick for this month’s Walzingmouse Blog Party. Our theme was a color challenge…head on over to the Waltzingmouse Blog to check it out!

I used some of Claire’s most gorgeous Halloween images to create this fun card. The patterened paper and corner stickers are from SEI, and the bling is from Doodlebug designs. The splatter image is from Recollections.

Sorry if I seem rushed but this blog party ends today and I have to get ready for my card class with Shari Carroll at my local stamp shop!! I am so excited!

Have a fun day,

CAS-ual Fridays 66: Splish Splash

By Suzanne

Today’s card is for this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which is to make a card with things that you might find in the ocean. Our sponsor this week is Stop & Scrap, who has offered a $20 gift card to this week’s winner. :)

I automatically thought to use Fish More from WPlus9, which is my favorite set right now, and papers from Echo Park. I diecut the striped frame using my Sending You dies from PTI, but I made it longer by cutting a strip to layer under the banner, making it look like one piece. The letters were diecut using alphabet dies from Memory Box, and the button is from American Crafts.

A perfect card to welcome the weekend, since we’re about to head out camping. What are you up to this weekend? I hope you have fun!

Retrosketches #12

By Suzanne

With Sympathy
Hi there! Hope you are enjoying your week!
I am back with a card that I made for this week’s Retrosketches Challenge. I’m in need of several sympathy cards, as several friends have lost loved ones this week. I thought that the Clear and Simple Stamps flower set was perfect for this sketch, so I will be CASE’ing this tonight.
I can CASE myself, right? :)
Tonight I’m looking forward to the American Idol finale. After his final performance last night, I am really rooting for Phillip Phillips…fingers are crossed! Any other fans out there?

Supplies: Stamps: Clear and Simple; Paper: SEI and PTI; Ink: A Muse Studio and PTI; Other: DMC floss, Corner Chomper
