No, you are not seeing things. Yes, that is a 1-layer card! It may be a first for me, and lemme tell you how difficult this was for me: VERY!!
I made this card using lots of Hero Arts goodies for their One Layer Card Challenge and for A Blog Named Hero’s Fave Stamp Challenge. I started with a piece of Bazzill taffy cardstock which was diecut using the Hero Arts tag die. Then I started stamping with lots of masking using my favorite stamp right now: the Scalloped Flower. I’ve linked up all the supplies for you below.
Thanks so much for looking!
Suzanne

Welcome to Monday, everyone! Here’s a first for me: I made this card very early this morning, before going to work! Here’s to hoping that this great start to my day sets the tone for the whole holiday week! Did you have a fun weekend? I spent the day shopping with my mom and sister on Saturday, and yesterday my hubby and I ran errands and just hung out.
I used some A Muse Studio Squeeze the Day stamps and dies on this card today, along with the Lil’ Inker stitched rectangles and a plaid impression plate from PTI. These summery Lawn fawn papers seemed to fit the lemony theme pretty well.
Thanks to everyone who left a comment letting me know that you had found me here at my new home on the internet. I really appreciate it!!! The winner of the $25 gift certificate to the store of her choice is Joyce M.! YAY, Joyce!!! I am so happy for you! I will send you an e-mail!

Hi everyone! Just posting a card that I made for this month’s Cloud9 Blog Hop! I’ve combined some Crate Paper goodies with some Wplus9 diecuts and stamps - I was inspired by the colors and the circular shapes in the inspiration photo for the month.
Hope you can play along with us!
Suzanne

Today marks my last post for Design It Monday at Precious Remembrance, and I just want to thank the super sweet and talented Dyane for inviting me as her guest over these last few weeks. I’ve had so much fun working with their Thanks Stamp Set, and look forward to more great releases from them. Please head on over to the Precious Remembrance blog for all the info on my card!
Thanks so much,

How was your weekend? I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned my craft room…pics to come later this week! What a great feeling it is! And it’s still clean even after making this card tonight for Design It Monday at Precious Remembrance. This sunshine stamp is included in their Thanks Stamp Set, which I am loving right now. Please head on over the Precious Remembrance blog for the details on how I made my card.
Happy Monday,
Suzanne
Hooray for my 400th post!
Tonight I made this card for Lucy’s Sketch Challenge and A Blog Name Hero’s Challenge, which was to create a card in the shabby-chic or vintage style.
I used Hero Arts‘ True Friendship and Tiny Ink Spots, which was inked up in grey and yellow on the background. I added lots of flowers and pearls, and stitched the bottom right corner to make this a little more shabby.
Thanks very much for stopping by!

It was a pretty great feeling escaping the house yesterday after the blizzard ended and after the driving ban had been lifted, but hardly anything can keep me from my craft room on a Sunday night. Last night I made this card for Design It Monday at Precious Remembrance using their fun and versatile Thanks Stamp Set. If you’d like to read more about how I made my card, please head on over the Precious Remembrance blog!
Have an awesome week!

It’s Papertrey Ink’s anniversary month and I am playing along in their first contest, which is to make a card inspired by one of the design team member’s favorite cards. I chose Danielle Flanders because I absolutely love her work - the way she incorporates patterned paper, stitching, and scrappy details into her projects is so amazing to me.
I really love the layout of her Rosie Posie card, and it inspired me to make a similar card using some of my favorite bright colors and Fancy Folk Art. The dotted border image is from Round & Round, and the sentiment is from Giga Guidelines.
Speaking of Giga Guidelines and PTI anniversaries…I will share that Giga Guidelines was one of the first sets I purchased from PTI. I still remember the night I logged into their forum for the first time: I was stamping Christmas cards in the living room for mass production using this set. The coffee table was my stamp table that night, and I realized that some of the ink permeated the finish on my coffee table (“ack!”…though I am from Boston, so you know that I didn’t really say “ack!”…I am just trying to keep it clean here). I retreated to the forum in a panic for advice on how to get it out. Needless to say, I tried everything! Eventually, I think it was buffing mayonnaise into the ink stain that helped to the trick. Ah, stamping memories.
I bet this never happened to Danielle Flanders, that’s for sure!

Suzanne
I am back from my little blogging hiatus and it feels good. You do not want to know how many hours I’ve worked in the past week (including last weekend), but it’s well worth it!
I very gladly missed half the Superbowl to make this card for Design It Monday at Precious Remembrance. I used the adorable Thanks Stamp Set, and if you’d like to read more about how I made my card, please head on over the Precious Remembrance blog!
Thanks so much!

I have to tell you that I LOVE these stamps and you should really check them out!
How was your weekend? Did you have fun? On Sunday night I went to a “Master Class” about Bare Minerals at the mall, and I have to say that I had an absolute blast. If ever there is one in your area, you should go!
Hugs,
