I finished Summer Card Camp with a much shorter wishlist than I expected (*phew!*), but these Puffy Star dies from Lawn Fawn were quickly added to my list after seeing such CUTE cards made by Kristina Werner, complete with her signature white stitching. C’mon!? Who can resist these? I couldn’t wait to use them along with some Lawn Fawn papers and sentiment, which was stamped onto a Simon Says banner diecut.
In other news this week: this press release…I don’t usually “talk shop” here on my blog, but this is a first for me and kinda cool. Hope you’re having a great week!

Popping in with a fun card that I made for this week’s Tuesday Trigger: Scene in Tangerine. I was drawn to the color scheme and the pieces of rickrack made me think of triangles, so I started playing with my Lawn Fawn patterned papers and Sketched Shapes sentiment by PTI…and this card was born.
I snagged those triangle Nestabilities ages ago on clearance at my LSS, and I am so happy to finally be putting them to use! Heading out now to make some more cards before bed…
XO,
Suzanne
Welcome to Monday, everyone! Here’s a first for me: I made this card very early this morning, before going to work! Here’s to hoping that this great start to my day sets the tone for the whole holiday week! Did you have a fun weekend? I spent the day shopping with my mom and sister on Saturday, and yesterday my hubby and I ran errands and just hung out.
I used some A Muse Studio Squeeze the Day stamps and dies on this card today, along with the Lil’ Inker stitched rectangles and a plaid impression plate from PTI. These summery Lawn fawn papers seemed to fit the lemony theme pretty well.
Thanks to everyone who left a comment letting me know that you had found me here at my new home on the internet. I really appreciate it!!! The winner of the $25 gift certificate to the store of her choice is Joyce M.! YAY, Joyce!!! I am so happy for you! I will send you an e-mail!

Today is the final day of the Lil’ Inker Designs release hop, and if you’re hopping along with the team then you may have arrived here from Karen Baker’s blog, but if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.
Anything goes today, so I made this sunny Mom card using all of this month’s new goodies and some Lawn Fawn patterned papers. See how I diecut the top panel so that “Mom” is very subtle? Here are all the dies and stamps available in the store now:
There are two Lil’ Inker Designs $10 credits available as prizes to folks who comment along the way in this week’s hop, so head on over to the next stop at Jen delMuro’s blog - it’s her last release with us before she ventures off for a new exciting endeavor…she will be missed so much!
It’s “anything goes” week at Simon Says, and since it pairs nicely with our anything goes theme for today’s release day, I am linking up!
See you soon,
Suzanne
I have been a bad card class student and am playing catch-up on my homework! I was inspired by Shari Carroll’s video on Day 4 of Pattern Play, so tonight I made this card using the March Simon Says Stamp card kit.
I combined 3 patterned papers and lots of stickers on this one, and no stamps! I was inspired by this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, but I am not really sure this qualifies as CAS - what do you think? Yay or nay, please help me decide! Edited to add: CFC girls…I linked up, but you are free to give me the boot if this isn’t quite CAS enough.
How was your day? I went to breakfast this morning with my family for my sisters’ birthday, to a place that is only a couple miles down the road, but have not visited in nearly 9 nine years! I think I need to start going there more often - the pancakes were divine! I was able to squeeze in some work, and spend the afternoon shopping with my hubby…so fun!
All in all, a pretty good day!

You are in for a special treat. I really can’t believe I agreed to be videotaped with Jen Rzasa and Jessica Davis doing the 10 Minute Craft Dash the other night at my house. I thought you wouldn’t see my pants in the video…SO not true! Aren’t my pajama bottoms sexy? (NOT.)
Here are the colors for the challenge:
The cardstock, scalloped sticker, and patterned paper came in this month’s Simon Says Stamp card Kit. The flowers are from Martha Stewart and the embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts. Ten minutes is not a long time!
Here’s our video. I noticed a few things….I am surprisingly calm until I panic at the end; Jen’s cinematography skills while chasing me upstairs remind me of a horror movie, though I love how Teddy comes along for all the action; and my accent sounds REALLY bad (or good, depending on how you look at things).
After this we over, we were too pooped to craft anymore so we ate mini donuts and cookies instead.
Thanks for stopping by!

The photo of my card has been removed because the card is out for publication. Thanks so much for looking!
Happy Friday! I just wanted to let you all know that the Soapbox Creations Card Hanger Die is back in stock, and you can read about here on Laurie Willison’s blog. Instead of using it to hang my card on a gift bag, I thought it would be fun to show you how else the die might be used. It in the photo above, it’s hanging on the wall…
…and in this photo, it’s hanging on my fridge! You could diecut magnetic strips to mount to the back of your patterned paper and also use these to hang projects on white boards. Using adhesive, you may even want to hang cards in a window, especially during the holidays. It’s so nice to be able to open the card while it’s hanging, rather than having it squished down by a clunky magnet or tape.
Here’s a shot of the card I made last night using the March Simon Says Stamp Card Kit. I added my own pearls and wooden embellishment. The Lawn Fawn papers and stickers in this kit are SO fun!
I’m also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week: Anything Goes!
Have an awesome day,
Suzanne
It’s Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled Stamps release week, and today I have two cards to share using Elves at Work, an adorable set with two elves, lots of toys and some accessories for Santa’s workbench.
On my first card above, I paper pieced the Elves at Work images using patterned papers from Lawn Fawn, and colored her sweet face with Copics. The window was cut using Stax dies from My Favorite Things, and the green twine is from May Arts.
For my next card, I wanted to try something clean and simple using a blingy pin that has been in my stash for some time — I’ve been dying to use it. The patterned paper is from Crate Paper, and I stamped the sentiment using some Tim Holtz ink along the side of the white satin ribbon strip.
I will be back tomorrow with some projects for the next stamp set being released…in the meantime please check out the Neat and Tangled blog to see all the other DT creations and to enter to win some prizes!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!
Hello Hello! I came across the Lawnscaping Challenge blog and wanted to play along using their Many Thanks set and this fun patterned paper from American Crafts.
The sentiment is actually one image but I inked it up using two different colors so the bird would stand out more, and then he was coated in some Diamond glaze to make him shine even more. I tried out Versafine ink for the first time- a friend gave me her inkpad last winter. I am sold! I think it’s the best black ink I’ve tried yet.
All of my favorite colors in one place.
Supplies: Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Paper: American Crafts; Ink: Versafine Black, A Muse Studio Ocean; Other: Diamond Glaze, pinking border die (A Muse Studio)
Hi everyone! Hope you’ve had a great week and that you’ll have an even better weekend. I’ve got some fun crafty plans, so I am definitely looking forward to it. This week’s challenge over on the CAS-ual Fridays blog is to make a card using your paper punches and/or dies; we’re also being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.
This week’s prize is a $25 gift certificate to their store…
My card came together pretty quickly this morning, because you all know how much I love working with patterned papers! Lawn Fawn’s is great - I love how vivid the colors are and the patterns in them have just the right amount of detail for me. The sentiment stamp is also from one of their collections. I used Nestabilities to diecut the circles and added the Martha Stewart sticker flower, and was pretty much done with this one.
I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by and have a great Saturday.
