Grateful for Your Friendship

By Suzanne

Just sharing a card that I made a few weeks ago and had to wait to post until the Lil’ Inker stitched circles were released. I combined those dies with some Fancy Pants papers and this stamp set from Simon Says to make this simple card - I think the yellow is so fun!

I’m heading back to work today after 3 weeks off. Wish me luck, pretty please!

Lil’ Inker Designs June Release Hop Day 4

By Suzanne

Today’s the final day of the Lil’ Inker Designs release hop, and that means anything goes! If you’re hopping along with us you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog, and you can always head back to the Lil’ Inker Designs Blog to start the hop from the beginning.

I had BIG plans for today involving Project Life, but I am going to save that for another day until I can figure out how to take some decent photos of the Project Life pages - the shiny plastic is not a friend of my light box, so I made this card instead. Turns out it was a good distraction from the pre-overtime 5-5 Bruins/Blackhawks game - this hockey business is so intense! Now I am typing this during OT, just in time for the best part of the game, right?

I started off using the Scallops Folding Tag die to cut the cream cardstock, but then I used the Original Folding Tag die to cut the chevron paper to ft inside the front of the tag. I only had to trim a little bit off the sides to center it on the front panel of the cream tag. The Fanfare Scalloped Border Die was used to make the pink border peeking out from under the navy polka dotted strip, and the Pieced Chevrons Cover Up die was used to make the coral arrow pointing toward the butterfly. Then I used the smallest circle from Stitched Mats: Circles to make a circle embellishment to tuck behind the chipboard sentiment circle:

I hope that you’ve enjoyed everything our team has created for this release and that you’re having a great week! The next stop on this hop is Taheerah’s blog…have fun!

Lil’ Inker Designs June Release Hop Day 3

By Suzanne

It’s Day 3 of the Lil’ Inker Designs release hop, and today we’re featuring the Fanfare Scalloped Border die and the Spot On stamp set, which also coordinates with the previously released Connected Circles die. If you’re hopping along with us you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog, and you can always head back to the Lil’ Inker Designs Blog to start the hop from the beginning.

I used the Fanfare Scalloped Border die on some patterned paper, but first I adhered it to some lightweight cardstock because I wanted the little curved pieces to stay inside the die to give a more solid look to the diecut. I also trimmed the end on the left side:

There ya go for today!

Lil’ Inker Designs June Release Hop Day 2

By Suzanne

What is better than a tag on a card? A FOLDED tag on a card!

Today is Day 2 of the Lil’ Inker Designs release hop, and today we’re featuring projects using the Folding Tags Dies, which come with a straight edge (Original) and a scalloped edge (Scallops). If you’re hopping along with us you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can always head back to the Lil’ Inker Designs Blog to start the hop from the beginning.

June17BlogHopI used the Original Folding Tag Die on this card so that I’d have a place to tuck in the smaller tag from a fun Fancy Pants collection that Renee hooked me on:

Lil’ Inker Designs June Release Hop Day 1

By Suzanne

_DSC0027

Hello, hello!!! I’ve been excited for this Lil’ Inker Designs release for quite some time! This is Day 1 of a 4-day release, and if you’re hopping along with us you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can always head back to the Lil’ Inker Designs Blog to start the hop from the beginning.

All of the new release products are currently available in the store, but today we are featuring two of the new items: the Pieced Chevron Die and Stitched Mats: Circles, both of which are featured on my first card.

June17BlogHopI decided to make a very monochromatic white card using the Stitched Mats: Circles and the previously released Stitched Mats: Rectangles, along with a Prima flower, the gold glitter Thickers from the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection, some gold Mr. Huey’s and several diecuts from the Pieced Chevron Die:

_DSC0033

For my second card, I wanted to use patterned paper - these are a combination of designs from SEI and Little Yellow Bicycle, but the rub-ons and flair are from Fancy Pants. I used the Stitched Mats: Circles to diecut the center panel:

Here’s a closeup of the stitching. I made my own flag by adding the rub-on to a strip of white paper and then adhering it to the pearl stick pin:

One of the BEST parts of these circles dies, which make them unique from any other die that’s available, is that these dies also leave stitching on the negative portion of the diecut. Here’s an extra card that I made to show you what I am talking about:

Can you see the stitching that was left along the edge of the area where the circle was cut from? Yeah, I think you NEED these!

Your next stop on this hop is Taheerah’s blog! Thanks for stopping by, and good luck winning one of this month’s Lil’ Inker prizes!

Welcome to the Lil’ Inker Designs Sunny Days blog hop! If you’re hopping along, you should have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog. We’ve got some fun planned for you this week, inspired by this graphic:

One of the first things I think of when I think of sunny days are flip-flops, but it just doesn’t seem right to sport any flippies without painted toes…so I’ve put together some pedicure-inspired favors that I think would be fun for a pool party, beach day, or girls’ party:

_DSC0003

Hello, hello! I am back with another Lil’ Inker Designs post today because we are sponsoring this month’s CARDS Blog Challenge! This month’s challenge is to use these gorgeous colors on a project:

I couldn’t resist using the Maggie Holmes collection from Crate Paper for this challenge, and love how all these Lil’ Inker goodies look here!

The ombre tag is from the American Crafts Dear Lizzy collection…and I curled my twine using Distress Stickles:

Anything goes today, so I made this sunny Mom card using all of this month’s new goodies and some Lawn Fawn patterned papers. See how I diecut the top panel so that “Mom” is very subtle? Here are all the dies and stamps available in the store now:

There are two Lil’ Inker Designs $10 credits available as prizes to folks who comment along the way in this week’s hop, so head on over to the next stop at Jen delMuro’s blog - it’s her last release with us before she ventures off for a new exciting endeavor…she will be missed so much!

It’s “anything goes” week at Simon Says, and since it pairs nicely with our anything goes theme for today’s release day, I am linking up! :)

    See you soon,

Lil’ Inker April Release Day 2

    By Suzanne

    _DSC0003

Today is Day 2 of a 3-day release hop for Lil’ Inker Designs, and if you’re hopping along with the team then you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog, but if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.

Today we are featuring projects made with the new Stitched Scallop border die - I used it to make the edge on these party hat cards. I wanted to make a set of birthday cards for my mom, since she’s always looking for more cards.

I cut triangles from some A Muse Studio polka dotted cardstock in a rainbow of colors to make the card fronts and backs, and used the Lil’ Inkers Gift Bow Topper die to make the pom-pom on top.

    _DSC0010

    _DSC0009

Then I decided to stamp the inside of the cards using the sentiment “You’re never too old to wear a party hat” from the previously released You’re Invited stamp set, and the banner image from the Mom and Dad Sentiments stamp set that was featured yesterday by our team.

    _DSC0020

I also decorated the envelopes - I selectively stamped three lines for a mailing address using the lines from the You’re Invited stamp set and added the color-matched banner once again from the Mom and Dad Sentiments stamp set from this month’s release.

There are two Lil’ Inker Designs $10 credits available as prizes to folks who comment along the way in this week’s hop, so head on over to the next stop at the Lil’ Inker Designs blog!

    Have an awesome day,

Yippee for another Lil’ Inker Designs release! Today is Day 1 of a 3-day release hop, and if you’re hopping along with the team then you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog. And if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.

Today we are featuring projects made with the new Mom and Dad dies and coordinating sentiment stamps, all of which are available in the store today.

For my first card, I used the Dad die and the “Hey” sentiment to make a manly birthday card for my father-in-law. I used patterned paper from Glitz Design’s Uncharted Waters on both of my cards today, but I paired it with the birthday equation card and brad from Crate Paper on my Dad card:

    _DSC0010

I added the white splatter using some acrylic paint and then some tiny staples to make it seem more manly.

For my second card, I used the Mom die to make a window card:

    _DSC0004

I adhered the matching red heart to the acetate window, and stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts ink:

    _DSC0013

I also added an enamel dot from My Minds Eye and some crochet thread to the top to finish it off.

I hope you keep on hopping because there are two Lil’ Inker Designs $10 credits available as prizes to folks who comment along the way.Your next stop on the hop is the Lil’ Inker Designs blog!
