It was a pretty great feeling escaping the house yesterday after the blizzard ended and after the driving ban had been lifted, but hardly anything can keep me from my craft room on a Sunday night. Last night I made this card for Design It Monday at Precious Remembrance using their fun and versatile Thanks Stamp Set. If you’d like to read more about how I made my card, please head on over the Precious Remembrance blog!
Have an awesome week!

I was super excited to see that this week’s Sunday Sketch Challenge at Studio Calico includes a card sketch inspired by Stephanie Washburn and of course I wanted to play along:
I broke out my last two card kits and a few other supplies and made this:
The red alpha stickers that were included in each of those kits seemed off-scale to me, so I diecut these ones from Clear and Simple Stamps cardstock (thanks, Jen!) using my Memory Box alpha dies. I also added the metal bling and red button, which I am pretty sure were from the Christmas card kit that Jeanne sent us a couple of months ago.
Hope your 2013 is off to a great start!

Hope you all had a fun weekend! I wanted to share a card that I made for a holiday shoebox swap at Ink About It, one of my local stamp shops. The theme was “Something Old, Something New,” and I chose to use a new Memory Box die and stamp with some old paper and embellishments to make this Halloween card. We could choose any holiday: Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas, and the card had to be assembled in 10 minutes or less.
I used the same layout as I did on this card, which was made using Neat and Tangled stamps. The gingham paper is from A Muse, as it the pebble cardstock on the banner. The orange and black papers are from Bazzill, and I used a My Favorite Things Stax die to cut the orange window layer.
In total we made 16 cards, I am excited to send some of these creations to my craftiest friends! I know they’ll love them.
XOXO,
