By Suzanne

It’s Day 3 of Lil’ Inker Designs’ release hop, our final day featuring products that have been released over the last two days.Yep, “anything goes” today!

If you’re hopping along with the team, then you may have arrived here from Jen del Muro’s blog, but if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.

For my first card, I diecut the colorful herringbone paper using the Connected Circles die and added the sentiment from Awesomesauce on top. I then added the flower and mounted it all to that gorgeous green patterned paper from Crate Paper.

Before I stitched everything together, I added three Gift Bow Topper diecuts as a border - love how this looks!

For my second card, I made a tall and skinny card that is slightly wider than the width of the Notebook die, embossing the kraft card base with the Circles and Diamonds Stitched Pattern die.

I added the sentiment and coordinating notebook lines from the Doodle Stamp set, later adding the small paper clip, twine and pink pearls.

Here’s a peek at all the products that have been released this week:

Lil’ Inker Designs Release Hop, Day 2

By Suzanne

Welcome back for Day 2 of Lil’ Inker Designs’ 3-day release hop! And THANK YOU for such a warm welcome to this team yesterday! You all make me smile!

If you’re hopping along with the team, then you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog, but if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.

Today we are showcasing a fun Notebook Die and the coordinating Doodle Stamp set, which are available in the store today.

For my first project, I stamped the doodle heart image from the Doodle stamp set repeatedly on some coral cardstock using some Memories white ink, and then I diecut the frame from the previously released Flags and Tags dies/stamp set from kraft cardstock, adding some more doodle and a sentiment to it before adhering it:

I later added some matching Hero Arts pearls and some white twill ribbon to finish this card off. Very easy to do, and I love the effect of the patterns you can make with these stamps!

For my second project today, I wanted to use some masking to make a St. Patrick’s Day themed card. I first used Stitched Mats: Rectangles to emboss the stitching around the edge of the card base, later adding the second matching blue panel which was diecut with a scalloped border about 1/3 of the way down. I then diecut the Notebook shape from white cardstock and broke out my masking paper to make the shamrock shape using some heart dies.

I then blended some green Distress inks to “color” the shamrock, and stamped some doodle in a darker green into the shamrock. See how I first masked the mini heart before doing my ink blending? The coordinating notebook lines from the Doodle stamp set were stamped next, using the negatives from the mask to cover my green shamrock…and then I added the cute sentiment and added the bling!

Thanks very much for popping by today! Please be sure to keep on hopping because there are some Lil’ Inker Designs $10 credits available as prizes to folks who comment along the way.

Your next stop on the hop is Laura Nehring’s blog! Hope to see you again tomorrow for Release Day 3!

Lil’ Inker Designs News & Release!

By Suzanne

_DSC0015

I have such exciting news to share - it is one of my craftiest highlights ever to announce that Laura invited me to be a part of the Lil’ Inker Designs family, starting this week…which just happens to be release week! YaAaaaAAAAY!

Today is Day 1 of a 3-day release hop, and if you’re hopping along with the team then you may have arrived here from Sarah Jay’s blog. And if you’re lost along this hop, you can always head on over to the Lil’ Inker Designs blog to start at the beginning.

Today we are showcasing the Circles and Diamonds Stitched Pattern die, and the coordinating Connected Circles Die and Darling Diamonds stamp set, all of which are available in the store today.

On my first card, I used the Circles and Diamonds Stitched Pattern die to emboss the stitched circular pattern onto some light green cardstock, which I then cut out with a circle punch to create this bubbly Hello card. The sentiment comes in the coordinating Darling Diamonds stamp set.

On my next card, you can see how I used the stitched pattern die in a more traditional way, embossing the front panel of cardstock with the pattern before adding my flower and sentiment.

This sentiment comes from a super cute new set this month called Awesome Sauce, which is free with a $75 purchase this month while supplies last. Enter code AWESOMESAUCE at checkout.

Monday Mood Board: Navy, Coral & Kraft

By Suzanne

My photo has been removed because the card is out for publication. Thanks for looking!

I’ve plopped the Pioneer Woman’s lasagna in the oven and jumping onto the computer really quickly to post a card that I made this morning for Dawn’s Monday Mood Board challenge, which was to use navy, coral and kraft on a project using at least one Wplus9 image:

I started off with the Basic Grey PB&J patterned paper, along with the glassine baggie and doily, and just started layering until I had a good idea for what I wanted to do. Then I pulled out my Wplus9 stamps and decided to stamp the leaves from Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions in navy onto the navy paper, and then I went ahead and stamped the frame from Brothers and Sisters in peach, adding the sentiment from Very Vintage Greetings in navy and the heart from Sweet Nothings in kraft behind it (I stamped off once before adding the heart).

The SU! ribbon seemed like the perfect addition since I thought I needed more kraft, and then the gold sequins from Neat and Tangled finished off the card.

So, are you going to watch the Oscars tonight? Any favorites? Last night we watched “Argo,” and I think I liked it much more than either “Lincoln” or “Zero Dark Thirty,” so my fingers are crossed for the hometown native Ben Affleck.

Have a fun night!
Suzanne
