Maybe I should have titled this post (un)Lucky! - I made this card for this week’s Muse Card Club challenge, and it looks like I missed the deadline, but the great news is that you can view all of this week’s entries here and vote for your favorites through tomorrow!
Therese Calvird was this week’s muse, and I was inspired by her frame and bow, but I went with a St. Patty’s Day theme using a SU! image called Lucky Day.
Thanks for stopping by!

I am playing along with the Muse Challenge this week with a card inspired by Laurie’s amazing card.
I was inspired by the two large rectangles in the center of her card and the yellow flower, but I wanted to create a window effect with my rectangles. I used the Lil’ Inker stitched rectangle dies to cut my two windows and mounted some My Minds Eye patterned paper beneath it. I also used the Lil Inker rolled flower die and some PTI felt to create my flower; the leaves are from a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, as is the woodgrain paper.
The sentiment is actually made as one long strip so I stamped it in two sections to fit along the banner diecut.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

What a happy post this is - I am over-the-moon excited to tell you that I am this week’s Guest Designer at the Muse Card Club!
I received such a sweet email from Jackie Rockwell inviting me to help her with this new, unique and super fun blog…here’s how it works:
- Use ANYTHING you want from your stash to create a project inspired by this week’s Muse.
- In your post, explain how you were inspired and link back to the Muse blog.
- Provide supportive comments on at least 3 other member’s submissions.
- Vote for three of your fellow member’s submissions.
All of the details can also be found here on the Muse blog. Now that we’ve got that squared away, here is the card I made for you all this week:
I didn’t get a chance to play along with the first Muse challenge, but was totally inspired by Amy Kolling’s use of flowers in her Muse card last week. Since Raspberry Fizz is my all-time favorite color to craft with, I started with a piece of cardstock and went through my patterned papers until I came across the matching American Crafts XOXO stash. As it turns out, I did not use any stamps or bling or ribbon on this card!
The top edge of the card was cut using an oval Nestabilities die. It was pretty easy to do, but in case you’re still not sure, I made a quick video for you:
The photo of my card has been removed because the card is out for publication. Thanks so much for looking!
I hope my card inspires you, and that you’ll interpret my project in your own special way and join in on the fun this week! Will you choose the layout? The colors? The hearts or flowers or arrows? The patterns? I can’t wait to see what you make!
Many thanks to Jackie and the Muse Card Club for having me this week! I feel so blessed to be a part of this new journey and a member of this fantastic card club!
