Hello! Sorry for the silence these last few days but I am leaving on a jet plane today for work and somehow getting ready for a one night trip throws me for a loop. Today I am going to Alexandria, but I also get to visit Chicago and D.C. later this month, and Atlanta in May. I get excited to travel for work - I love going to new places and big cities (and meeting really smart people) - so I made this card using some Hero Arts dies. I used their Floral Lace, Layered Hearts, and Skyline dies, along with some My Minds Eye papers. And more glitter paper because it makes me happy!
Have a great day!

I am playing along with the Muse Challenge this week with a card inspired by Laurie’s amazing card.
I was inspired by the two large rectangles in the center of her card and the yellow flower, but I wanted to create a window effect with my rectangles. I used the Lil’ Inker stitched rectangle dies to cut my two windows and mounted some My Minds Eye patterned paper beneath it. I also used the Lil Inker rolled flower die and some PTI felt to create my flower; the leaves are from a Memory Box die, and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, as is the woodgrain paper.
The sentiment is actually made as one long strip so I stamped it in two sections to fit along the banner diecut.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It’s month #10 of our 12 Kits of Christmas project, and this month’s hostess is Jessica! If you’d like to read about how this group started and works, please read this post.
Jessica sent us an Paper Smooches filled kit - super duper fun times!
I really loved that Jess also chose papers matching Autumn Rose instead of a true red - this card looks so pretty to me with those pink holly berries that I added from my bling stash.
I knew that I had to work with the dog image, and know exactly who I am sending this next card to…
I added some glitter to his hat and opted not to color him. I really like the pine boughs she sent us too.
For my card above, I channeled my inner Lynn Mangan! How did I do!? Oh, I hope I did her proud! I heat embossed the leaves from my own Paper Smooches set onto the patterned paper using a glittery embossing powder.
And here is my favorite one of the bunch! I added the Wplus9 snowflake diecut behind the sentiment and added my own fine linen ribbon and stitching. I love all those trees in the paper!
Here is a list of everyone else in our group. Have fun hopping around and seeing their creations!

Oh my, it is almost time for the weekend, and after getting stuck in an elevator at work yesterday I am SO ready for a couple days off! Today I am participating in a Hello blog hop welcoming the new Neat and Tangled challenge blog to town. It’s called Little Tangles and our first challenge goes live on November 15th…and if you don’t happen to own any Neat and Tangled stamps yet, there will be a free digital image available for download on the challenge blog!
Today I used images from Little Bear and Just Hello to create this mini card - it is 3.5″ by 5″…a perfect size for a quick note to a friend. The sketch was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge, as well as by this week’s CASology challenge: SWEET. Neat and Tangled is sponsoring this week’s CASology challenge, so be sure to play along to win the fun prize!
Speaking of prizes, there are two prizes being given on this blog hop; each winner will be chosen at random from one of the comments on all of our blogs. You have until Sunday, November 4th at 11:59pm EST to enter.
Here is a list of all the stops along the hop:

Happy Hoppin’!

It’s my last week as one of this month’s headliners over on the most awesome Retrosketches Challenge blog, and I can’t thank Arielle enough for having me! This week’s sketch is based on a card made by the other headliner this month, Jen Wills:
I rotated sketch, and then I was inspired by all the lines in the tree trunks to use the large Halloween sentiment stamp from Purple Onion Designs. I paired it with some patterned paper from My Minds Eye and added some Kaiser Craft sparklets as the circles. This could be the last Halloween card of the year, and I need to get some of these out in the mail today!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hey everyone! It’s time for another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, and this week’s challenge is to incorporate hearts into your project, which is fitting since our sponsor this week is i {heart} papers!
Rather than use dies or stamps, I used some Hero Arts heart pearls on this card for my husband. Yes, it’s pink. I am not the best with manly cards. I stamped the Tim Holtz sentiment onto the diecut frame and later mounted over some My Minds Eye papers. The scalloped edge was diecut and stamped using a set from Clear and Simple Stamps - LOVE this!
Here you get a better view of the heart bling and the piercing.
So what are your plans for the weekend? Anything good? I hope to do some more crafting and maybe some napping! Thanks for stopping by!
It’s time for the September Cloud9 Blog Hop and I’m playing along using the Wplus9 stamp set called A Pocketful: Halloween since this month’s inspiration photo is all about this fun holiday. Check it out here!
The blog hop goes on for 3 days to give everyone plenty of time to play along, and you have a chance to win a gift certificate to Wplus9 or a spot as our designer next month! You can find all the details over on the Cloud9 blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
It’s month #9 of our 12 Kits of Christmas project, and this month’s hostess is Kara! If you’d like to read about how this group started and works, please read this post.
Kara sent us an awesome kit filled with a bunch of fun stuff- too much, actually!
On my card above, I used the stamped banner image as well as the chevron paper that Kara sent, but added my own green spritz, gold washi, and embellishments. The brown snowflake image is from PTI - I thought it helped to balance the brown from the banner.
This is another reason why Kara’s kit was SO fantastic: she sent us materials to make our own holiday planner….LOVE IT! Here I added my own glitter strip and background stamping. The Hero Arts image was heat embossed. I thought it went perfectly with the planner since it has lots of holiday tasks in the text. And I love that font.
And for my last card, I layered lots of the papers and diecuts that Kara sent, adding only a few snowflake rubons of my own to make the whole card seem more wintery. This was really fun for me to make.
Here is a list of everyone else in our group. Have fun hopping around and seeing their creations!

Thank you so very much, Kara!!! I would have made more but I finished 75 Christmas cards for my mom earlier in the day and my eyes are tired. ;)
Hugs,
This is my second post for today. Please scroll down for my CAS-ual Fridays post! Thanks!
The Neat and Tangled Design Team is celebrating Halloween and has some inspiration for you on the Neat and Tangled blog today. Here’s a sneak peek of my project using Graveyard Shift…head on over to see more. I am sure you don’t want to miss what my fabulous team members have to share!
Hello and happy Saturday! I am back with a card for this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which is to make a card featuring anything that you might find in the sky. Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp!
This week’s winner wins a $25 gift card to their store, which sells a huge variety of stuff, so I hope you’ll play along.
When I heard the theme for this week, I immediately thought of these great scrappy layered stickers from My Minds’ Eye’s Follow Your Heart collection. I paired them with some ribbed Posh Corduroy cardstock, which is heavyweight, smooth and beautiful:
The stickers pack a lot of punch, I think. This seemed like a gutsy card for me to make because I didn’t use any stamps. I then remembered that Laurie made a card with stickers a while ago, and I just want to thank her for the inspiration! Have a fun day!
