Lucky Day

By Suzanne

Maybe I should have titled this post (un)Lucky! - I made this card for this week’s Muse Card Club challenge, and it looks like I missed the deadline, but the great news is that you can view all of this week’s entries here and vote for your favorites through tomorrow!

Therese Calvird was this week’s muse, and I was inspired by her frame and bow, but I went with a St. Patty’s Day theme using a SU! image called Lucky Day.

Thanks for stopping by!

RCC63: Pinterest Persuasion

Hi everyone! I missed you! I am finally back from my travels and trying to get back into the crafty swing of things. My hubby and I spent a week in beautiful Punta Cana and then I scooted off to Nashville to meet my dear sweet friend Renee for SAF. It seems so lonely and boring crafting alone without her now. I will try to post details and pics later this week.

There was no time for a lack of mojo this week…because it’s my turn to host this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge!

Here is the Pinterest photo I chose as inspiration for the week:

I was inspired to use my tree image from Stampin’ Up!, which was stamped in their soft suede ink onto white cardstock and paired with aqua mist and orange. I layered my ribbon, rather than tying a bow-this one is the 3/4 inch Bittersweet Solid Grosgrain Ribbon. The layer of aqua under the ribbon was debossed with the woodgrain IP from PTI and the pinking edge was diecut using the border die from A Muse Studio. The patterned paper strip is also from PTI.

I would love for you all to join us for this week’s challenge. Head on over to the Ribbon Carousel Blog for all the details. :)

CAS-ual Fridays 59: Round & Round

*If you’re looking for my 12 Kits of Christmas post, please scroll down. :) Thanks!

Renee always says that Saturday is the bestest day of the week, and I have to agree - I get to share another card with you for this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. This week’s theme is Round & Round, which means you should use two circles in your design.

Our sponsor this week is The Twinery, who has offered a generous supply of twine in a variety of colors for this week’s winner. Hope you will join us!

I’ve been dying to share this card with you for a few days because I adore this new stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. The two circles on my card are the inner circle on the embroidery hoop and the rhinestone. I debated trying to count the letter “O” in “welcome” as one, but Jen told me that it didn’t count. :)

Everything will be okay

I know what you’re thinking: two posts in one day?! I’m crazy like that! LOL.
I made this card for Virginia’s challenge, which is to make a rainbow card. I inked up my very large Hero Arts stamp with different inks and stamped it onto pebble cardstock from A Muse Studio. I then added the sentiment from SU! across the front. I finished it all off with diamond Stickles on the tops of the wheat. Very easy!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Quick Card

By Suzanne

Last night I was antsy and decided the only thing that would help me fall asleep was to craft something, so I pulled out my new SU! set called Aviary and went to town. It was great! Many thanks to Marilyn for including me in her club again.
This was my first time in my craft room in weeks - my husband and I were joking that he goes in there to use the paper trimmer more than I do now. It’s true! He’s been making tons of note cards for himself. Here’s what I created:

No sentiment yet since I haven’t decided who I will send it to, but I hope you liked it! Thanks for stopping by. And thanks to everyone for all of their comments and encouragement about the lung cancer walk. I really appreciate it! I’ve been working hard, so hard that I haven’t been able to use my ticket die or stamps from last month. THAT’S BUSY, I think!
