Welcome back for Day 2 of the Neat and Tangled Stamps release week! Today we are featuring projects made with a new little set called Just Thinking of You, which contains a really gorgeous sentiment, cloud, heart and bubble stamp.
On my first project, I used On the Strip 2 to stamp bars across the card front, then adding the sentiment from Just Thinking of You and a black button threaded with light blue twine.
For my second card, I masked the clouds to fit inside the wood frame and added some layers of Lawn Fawn patterned papers and some ribbon to tie it all together. Head on over to the Neat and Tangled blog to see more of today’s projects! Thanks very much for stopping by!

Today is a very special Saturday for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge because we are helping A Muse Studio kickoff their promotion for breast cancer awareness month. For all of the details, please see this post on the CFC blog - there’s a random drawing this week just for commenting! (Our regularly scheduled prize for the month is also scheduled!)
A Muse Studio is giving away a free stamp set (plus $3 shipping + taxes) for this very special month. It’s called Fight Like a Girl, and it’s the set that I used on my card today. Our challenge this week was to make a card for a special woman in our life.
I wanted to create a card that could be given anytime to someone in need of extra love. For cancer patients, this comes not only when they are going through treatment, but also during recovery and every time they go back back for checkups. “Scanxiety” is the term that is often used to describe the stress leading up to annual scans, and I made this card with that particular situation in mind. I used the smallest die in the A Muse Studio poinsettia die set to diecut several flowers from Shell cardstock, and then added some A Muse Studio pearls to the centers of each one. The sentiment (from Fight Like a Girl) was stamped in their Slate ink.
I am humbled by the opportunity to do cancer research every day; if your life has been affected by other types of cancer besides breast cancer, I would love for everyone to know that research in one type of cancer truly has the ability to help all the cancers. With that in mind, I would LOVE for everyone to play along in this week’s challenge and help us to increase awareness for this disease!
Hugs! xoxo
Hope you’re having a great week so far! I am here today with a card for this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge, which is to make a card using any kind of embossing that you like (and some ribbon too).
I used my Wplus9 stamps with some clear heat embossing and some 3/4 inch bittersweet grosgrain ribbon from the store on this card. I also added some metallic Hero Arts bling to the leaves, and I am thinking this would be perfect to redo in red and green for Christmas.
I hope you’ll play along! Thanks for stopping by,
I know what you’re thinking: two posts in one day?! I’m crazy like that! LOL.
I made this card for Virginia’s challenge, which is to make a rainbow card. I inked up my very large Hero Arts stamp with different inks and stamped it onto pebble cardstock from A Muse Studio. I then added the sentiment from SU! across the front. I finished it all off with diamond Stickles on the tops of the wheat. Very easy!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
I loved making this card for this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge because the lovely Danielle Daws picked a GREAT photo for a Pinterest inspiration challenge:
I was drawn to the color scheme, as well as the lines in the photo, so I decided to use my tree die from Savvy Stamps paired with some Bittersweet Jute Twine from Ribbon Carousel - it is the perfect shade…almost a burnt orangey red and I love it! You should check out all the other colors of jute twine: pink, green, navy, purple, as well as a wide variety of neutrals.
So how was your Memorial Day weekend? We took a fun road trip to Ogunquit, Maine yesterday - it is just gorgeous there, and I had the best fried clams I’ve ever had! It’s the little things that make me so happy. I also squeezed in a trip to my LSS and picked my first peony of the season from our garden…hoping there are bunches more to come by the end of the week. I’ll share photos if I snap some good ones.
Supplies {by PTI unless otherwise noted}: Stamps: A Muse Studio; Paper: WPlus9 (kraft, white), PTI (ocean tides); Ink: Versamark; Other: Bittersweet Jute Twine, white EP, tree stump die (Savvy Stamps)

Phew! Is it the work week yet? LOL! My weekend has been chock full o’ fun and things to do, but I really wanted to squeeze in some time to play along in this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which was to make a card using flowers or trees.
This adorable set from There She Goes has been stashed away ever since Meredith (aka Crafty Math Chick) surprised me with it at Christmas last year, and I thought this was the perfect occasion to try it out. Somehow the idea for those hills popped into my head; they’ve been diecut from that super fun neon green paper from SU! and debossed with PTI’s linen impression plate. The flowers leaves were colored with a green Tombow marker and I added the pink rhinestones…well, basically because I love them!
It’s super simple for me, but given how time just seems to be flying by, I am kinda liking the outcome! What do you think? Maybe I will retry this again sometime with patterned paper.
I am signed up for the TSG Mother of All Blog Hops, and I have some time to think about it some more.
Have an amazing night, everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Yesterday was one of those days when I had an idea for a card and then spent a crazy amount of time making it work. Has that ever happened to you? In the wake of all the excitement from my last post, I wanted to express my thanks to all of you for your kind words! You all sure know how to make a girl feel great! I thought the “Warm Thoughts” sentiment from PS fit perfectly.
I started off choosing orange and blue as the two colors that I wanted to work with for this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge: Opposites Attract. Halfway through the stitching of this piece, I realized that these are similar colors to those in the inspiration piece for the latest Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge: a two-fer! Who doesn’t love that, especially when it’s not planned!
The DMC floss and cloth are available at most stores like Michael’s…and I realized it’s great for stitching chevrons. I am definitely going to have to try more patterns like this because I love the texture it gives this card. I adhered the sampler to a white cardstock base before attaching it to the card so that it would stay straight/flat and so I could add more dimension with foam dots on the back.
The cardstock base is a shade called Bermuda from A Muse Studio (it’s slightly more blue than PTI’s Aqua Mist), and the Sparklet is from Kaiserkraft (but available at RibbonCarousel.com in many colors…see my post below about their 40% off sale!). I used the new banner trio die from WPlus9 to cut the flag from their new white cardstock (which I am loving), and the PS sentiment was stamped in PTI’s Blueberry Sky ink.
I hope you have a great day! I am going to visit some family and will probably make a few more cards later on. What are your plans?
I am back (a little bit late) with a quick post for the final day of Lucy’s Sketch Week…and here it is:
And here’s my card, using Crate Paper papers, a sentiment from A Muse Studio and two Jenni Bowlin butterflies…I chose the butterflies because they were inspired by Lucy’s Inspiration Week Day 2 photo…I am posting this too late for the Day 5 sketch, which is very similar to one earlier this week:
That’s all! Off to make some more fun stuff. Hope you had a great weekend!
Here is another card for Lucy’s Sketch Week: Day 3! Here is the sketch:
And here is my take on this sketch, using more Crate Paper Papers and a sentiment stamp from WPlus9′s Sweet Nothings set, as well as their cloud dies and stamps from Heartfelt Mix:
I used A Muse Studio inks in latte and cranberry on this card, in addition to the crumb cake cardstock base from SU!.
So far, this is my favorite of all the sketches! Can’t wait to make something for Days 4 and 5.
