Hi everyone~ whatcha up to this weekend? I had to work yesterday and I spent most of today running errands, but I did manage to play along with my Waltzingmouse Stamps for a little bit. I made this card for this week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge:
I inked up Santa’s Coming to Town using emboss resist to make the white snowflakes stand out, and then stamped the sentiment in some teal ink from SEI. That fabulous Mossy Made button can be found in the Neat and Tangled store, and the snowflake dies are from Wplus9 and PTI. The patterned papers are from Crate Paper’s Sleigh Ride collection.

Now, for the BIG Waltzingmouse news: Claire is now offering shipping from the U.S. on select items! Woo hoo! You can read all about it here.
I am going to head back upstairs and make some more cards tonight. I have a lot of Christmas stash I really want to use.
Hugs,
Suzanne
It’s time for this month’s Waltzingmouse Blog Party, the theme of which is FALL! Hoorah for this most favorite season of mine.
I don’t have many WMS sets yet, but I’ve realized that I definitely need to add some of Claire’s beautiful Halloween sets to my stash. For my card, I used some fall themed patterned papers called Orchard Harvest from Samantha Walker. The green plaid was stamped with the background image from French Country, and then I added the sentiment from Blessed by You, as well as the frame from Very Vintage Labels #25.

The other dies are from SU! and the twine is from May Arts. If you look under the twine, you will see that I wrapped some gold washi tape from A Muse Studio around the top of the card before adding the twine. It adds the perfect bit of shimmer.
Happy blog hoppin’ to all of you today,
Hi!!! It’s time for a new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, and I decided to use Half Pint Heroines on my card with some Echo Park papers. I turned the sketch on its side:
The paper piecing was really easy and fun, and I enjoyed coloring the little girl’s face with Copics. I swear that the aqua Bazzill base matches! It’s just that the aqua clouds have been covered up by the other layers.
How’s your week going? I am going to Providence for the day for work on Friday. I’ve never been to Rhode Island! Ever. 33 years in Boston and I’ve never been. I am kind of excited!
I was looking to feed my patterned paper addiction tonight so I made this card for this week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge…
I stamped the flowers and leaves from Sewing Box Hugs onto some canvas, matching my inks to this fabulous Basic Grey paper. I used some edger dies from SU! to trim some patterns from green and yellow papers, using my paper piercer to poke holes along the edges of the yellow diecuts. I then added some stitching along the inner edges.
How great is that bling from Prima? I also really love the chevron sticker strip behind the canvas. I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend. Back to work tomorrow! Thanks a bunch for stopping by. Sweet dreams!
Hope you are all having a great week…I am in the final days of my epic and utterly awesome 3 week vacation. I am spending these last few days getting crafty, and I could not less this time pass by without playing along in another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.
For some reason, I have Christmas on the brain. I think it’s all the waiting for the new holiday papers to come out, but it made me want to make a Christmas card today. I used 2011 Holiday Ornaments and a sentiment from Festive Foliage, as well as a snowflake background stamp from Hero Arts on this card. The center panel was embossed using a houndstooth embossing folder, and the patterned paper is from Crate Paper.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your afternoon.
I’ve got a card to share for today’s Waltzingmouse Blog Party. It’s my first time playing along!
The inspiration photo also contained a color combination that I just fell in love with. I was inspired by the branches in the vase to use the willow tree from Blessed by You to make my card. The technique that I used has been seen out-and-about in blog land and I thought this was a great chance to try it out: cut strips of colored paper and then deboss them with your favorite embossing plate. The woodgrain one that I used is from PTI.
I inked up the tree initially in grayand then lightly added in the other colors, allowing them to mix into one another. All of the inks are from A Muse Studio, with the exception of the teal one which is from SEI.
Have a lovely day! Enjoy your Father’s Day! I am off to see my dad in just a little bit.
Hello, Patterned Papers! It was so fun for me to make this card for this week’s Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I don’t have many WMS sets yet, but once I realized that I could rotate the sketch and use the flowers and stem from Sewing Box Hugs this way, I had to go for it. The prizes this week are pretty fantastic - they include a spot as a guest designer on the WMSC team. You really should check it out!
I wanted to soften the look of the card a little bit, so the images were stamped in Seattle (gray) ink from A Muse Studio and the card front was mounted on pebble (light gray) cardstock to match the woodgrain pattern in the Crate Paper papers. And, yes, I handcut all those images! I added the stitiching because the card looked a little naked without it, and the sparklets seemed like the perfect fit for the flower centers. The center diecut and frame are from the Vintage Labels 1 series from A Muse Studio, and the sentiment is from the WMS set called Compact Sentiments.
I hope you like it! Have a fantastic day!
I’m entering this into the Doilies and Lace Challenge on the MFW Blog at nearly the last minute! I wanted to play around some more with some of my newer stamps, so I broke out my Waltzingmouse sentiments and my doilies from WPlus9 to make this card.
I started by stamping the grid lines from A Muse studio across the bottom of the card in amethyst ink onto some of their amethyst cardstock, masking the edge where the Hero Arts lace trim was to be placed. I then reversed the mask and spritzed the top with some yellow Mr. Huey’s. Next I stamped the tag diecut from WPlus9 with the doily and sentiment, adding some matching floss and the Basic Grey button to finish it off. And you know how much I love a rounded corner…
I’m thinking I need to use purple and pastels more often!
Today I have a sweet and simple card for this week’s CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which is to make a project using some bling: rhinestones, Stickles, etc. I chose pink glitter to selectively color parts of the scene that I made using some stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps.
Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamps, and this week’s challenge also gives you chance to win a Guest Designer spot on our team!
Get your bling on and join us!
I’m not entirely sure that I love how this card came out, but I am cutting myself some slack since I’ve not exactly been the picture of health over the last week. I’ll spare you the details and just say I’m so happy to be feeling better! I’ve got a pretty slow weekend planned - I will probably visit my grandma and do some baking. Looking forward to it!
TGIF!!!! The last couple of weeks have been a doozie for me at work so I am especially grateful for the chance to catch up on sleep and visit with family this weekend. I hope you have something fun planned.
The theme of this week’s challenge at the CAS-ual Fridays blog is “Feathered Friends” - a great chance to use some of your favorite bird images. If you’re like me, you have several different ones and it may be hard to pick which one to use!
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Annabelle Stamps, who has offered a $20 gift certificate to this week’s winner.
For my card, I used the new stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps called French Country, and paired that with the sunshine image from WPlus9′s Super Star. I’ve also stamped with A Muse Studio inks onto WPlus9′s new cardstock in oatmeal; I’ve been using it a while and I love the results.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!
